HIV/AIDS Peer Support Groups

Unless someone is living with HIV/AIDS, it can be hard to imagine all its challenges. Peer support helps people living with HIV/AIDS stay connected as a part of a strong community.

To meet a peer support specialist or join one of our groups, please contact us or call 603-816-0594.

How It Works

Peer Support, also known as psychosocial support, promotes physical and emotional health in a respectful setting. Through one-on-one interactions with a Peer Support Coordinator or in small groups, participants:

  • Develop coping skills.

  • Reduce feelings of social isolation.

  • Increase self-determination and self-advocacy.

  • Improve their overall quality of life.

Support groups are also available for a variety of subpopulations of people living with HIV, such as women, men who have sex with men, Spanish speaking people, and more.

Location

One-on-one or group meetings are at 45 High Street, Nashua, NH 03060. Services are also available via telehealth.

Qualifications & Cost

Peer Support is available free of charge to anyone living with HIV/AIDS in Hillsborough, Rockingham, or Stafford County.
