Boulder Point Veterans Housing

Opened in July 2019, Boulder Point Veteran Housing is located in Plymouth, New Hampshire. It offers 25 one-bedroom apartments dedicated to veterans experiencing homelessness, through partnership with both the White River Junction Veteran Affair Medical Center and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Veteran Supportive Housing vouchers (HUD-VASH Program). Location & Amenities

A 27,000 square foot, 2-story, handicapped accessible/adaptable building, Boulder Point Veteran Housing is located on a picturesque 11-acre property. It features plenty of parking and outdoor space, as well as a large community room, a library/ game room, in-unit washer and dryers, and several private offices for residents to receive case management and supportive services. 

The program provides mentoring, case management, and supportive services for residents who choose to participate. All participants receive on-site access to coaching in eviction prevention, increasing household income and assets, increasing health and well-being, general life skills, and improving the educational success of children and youth.

Qualifications & Cost

For one-bedroom units, only individuals and households certified as eligible for a HUD-VASH voucher by the US Department of Veteran Affairs may apply. For two-bedroom units, veterans and their families are preferred, but non-veteran households may also apply; eligibility is based on income. 

Residents pay roughly 30% of their income toward rent. Income eligibility is based on household size.  For a single person, income cannot exceed 50% of the region’s average median income. For a 2-person household, income cannot exceed 60% of the region’s average median income. 

Heat and electricity are included. Residents are responsible for cable and internet in their individual units. Security deposits equal one month’s rent.
